Generativní kompozice pro elektroniku a klarinety.
The generative composition Agara is inspired by the Ohře River, as a prototype of a river which in its three hundred kilometres changes from a small creek to a mighty stream. The basic structural principle of the composition is the repeated use of the number three. The melodies move in the Bohlen-Pierce scale, the period of which is a tritave - 3:1 interval instead of an octave, expressed as a ration 2:1. The scale divides the tritave into thirteen steps. The polyphonic texture is provided by the clarinets, whose characteristic sound has strongly suppressed even harmonic components in the spectrum, thus highlighting the characteristics of the non-octave tuning used. The underlying tonal layer is created by a superposition of continuously descending tones with a rectangular waveforms, whose spectrum contains only odd harmonic components, similar to that of the clarinet. The sonic background consists of a set of descending synthetic noises evoking a increasing power of the water stream. The piece lasts nine minutes.
Generativní skladba Agara je inspirována Ohří, coby prototypem řeky, která ve svých třech stech kilometrech zesílí z drobné bystřiny v mohutný tok. Základním strukturálním principem kompozice je opakované použití čísla tři. Melodie se pohybují v Bohlen-Pierceově stupnici, jejíž periodou je namísto oktávy, vyjádřené poměrem 2:1, interval 3:1 – tritáva, kterou stupnice dělí na třináct kroků. Polyfonní melodické pásmo obstarávají klarinety, jejichž charakteristický zvuk má ve spektru silně potlačené sudé harmonické složky a zvýrazňuje tak vlastnosti použitého neoktávového ladění. Podkladová tonální vrstva vzniká superpozicí spojitě klesajících tónů s obdélníkovým průběhem, jejichž spektrum obsahuje pouze liché harmonické složky, podobně jako je tomu u klarinetu. Zvukové pozadí je tvořeno sadou klesajících syntetických šumů evokujících mohutnící proud vody. Skladba trvá devět minut.
